Music has traditionally occupied a central place in the life and worship of Saint Elizabeth of Hungary Parish.
By joining our hearts with the beauty of sound, we give voice to our faith through the wonderful art of music! Music soothes, excites, challenges and unites us in ways in which words alone cannot. Through our hymns and acclamations music enables us to touch the very mysteries of God as we unite together in prayer.
The principal choir of Saint Elizabeth of Hungary Parish is the assembly of parishioners who gather on Sundays to celebrate the Eucharistic liturgy. Led by priests and lectors who chant their rightful music and supported by cantors, choirs and instrumentalists, this "great choir" –often over 500 strong voices, thundering its "Thanks be to Gods," "Alleluias," and "Amens!"
At Saint Elizabeth of Hungary Parish, music for worship spans the centuries from Medieval chant and Renaissance polyphony through the contemporary repertory of the Twenty-First Century.
We're always interested in helping new folk become a part of the Music Ministries program!
